Smile - Sunday Afternoon, February 22nd, 2009

Held a toy – Tuesday Morning, February 24th, 2009

Slept through the night - Thursday night, 8:30 pm – 3:30 am, February 26th, 2009

Smiled for Daddy - Friday night. February 27th, 2009

Trip to the Grocery Store – Friday, March 13th, 2009

Started vocalizing – Sunday, March 15th, 2009

First Shots – Monday, March 16th, 2009

Slept through the night better – 11 pm – 8 am, evening of Wednesday, March 18th, 2009  (Spent 4 hours fighting going to sleep that night and then scared the heck out of Mom and Dad when they awoke to an alarm clock at 7:00 am and had not heard from him all night)

Slept 12 hours through the night – 8 am – 8 pm, night of March 31st, 2009 (This followed 3 days of grumpyness and not sleeping, but may have been worth it in the end)

First Laugh – Wednesday, April 1st, 2009 (no, not kidding)

First “Real” Laugh (with consonant sounds) – Saturday, April 25th, 2009

First Illness

First Trip to a Restaurant – Sunday, May 2nd (Sunrise Cafe on State Street with Oma and Grandpa)

First Effective Use of Hand-Eye Coordination - Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 (Reached up and spun the ball a kitty was holding on his Back Gym so the music would play when spun.)

First Nap Outside the House – Friday, May 8th

Sleeping through the Night Consistently – Monday, May 11th, 2009

First Poop All Over Mommy – Saturday, May 16th, 2009 (Mommy went to change Jack’s diaper only to discover a lot was already on her clothes).

Understands Cause and Effect – Sunday, May 17th, 2009, On the car ride to get haircut, spent the entire time playing with his carseat monkey, making it play music by pressing its nose.

First Haircut

Rolls Over for the First Time – Monday, May 18th, 2009, Jack rolls over while playing on the floor with Daddy.

First Solid Food – Monday, May 18th, 2009, Jack ate rice cereal for dinner upon his doctor’s suggestion.

Sleep through the Night without a Swaddle – Monday, May 18th, 2009

First Trip to the Park – Friday, June 5th, 2009, Went to Municipal Park for a potluck picnic with friends.

First Trip in the Stroller – Friday, June 5th, 2009

First Trip to the Mall  - Saturday, June 6th, 2009 – Went to Build-a-Bear to build a scruffy dog named Max, for Jack.

First Time away from Mom & Dad – Sunday, July 19th, 2009 – Grandma babysat while Mom and Dad returned a U-Haul

First time using Sippy Cup – Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 – Apple Juice – yummy!
